Minerals & Minings

Minerals & Mining Industry - Agitators, Dosing Pumps & Chemical Dosing Systems

Mining is tough work. The materials are heavy. The slurries are thick. The chemicals are harsh.

Standard equipment does not last here. It wears out fast. It loses performance. Production drops. We supply agitators and dosing pumps for mining plants. Every unit is built for the actual conditions. Not for a laboratory test.

Applications

Where Premix Equipment Is Used

Side entry and long shaft paddle agitators for substrate movement and floating layer control.

Agitators for uniform circulation and stable biological activity.

Dosing pumps and systems for pH adjustment, antifoam and treatment chemicals.

What Do We Cover in Mining Plants?

Mining plants have many process areas. Leaching tanks. Flotation cells. Thickeners. Reagent systems. Tailings ponds.

Each area is different. Each needs different equipment. We cover all of them. We check the ore type first. Then the slurry density. Then the chemical being used. Selection comes after that.

What Agitators Do We Supply?

We supply agitators for all major mining vessels.

These include:

  • Ore leaching and agitation tanks
  • Flotation conditioning vessels
  • Thickener feed preparation tanks
  • Carbon in Leach and Carbon in Pulp vessels
  • Reagent preparation and dilution tanks
  • Tailings neutralisation vessels
  • Lime and flocculant mixing tanks

Each agitator is sized for the job. Impeller type and drive power are chosen for the actual slurry. Not for water.

What Chemicals Do We Dose?

Every chemical needs accurate dosing. Too little and recovery drops. Too much and costs rise.

We handle:

  • Sodium Cyanide for gold and silver leaching
  • Lime and Caustic Soda for pH control
  • Flocculants and Coagulants for thickeners
  • Xanthate and Frother for flotation circuits
  • Sulphuric Acid for copper heap leaching
  • Hydrogen Peroxide for cyanide detoxification
  • Antiscalants for process water systems

We check flow rate and chemical compatibility before every supply.

What Are the Hardest Problems in Mining Plants?

  • Heavy Slurry Agitation

Mining slurry is not like water. It is thick. It is heavy. It settles fast. Normal agitators fail here. The drive stalls. The impeller wears out quickly.

We size drives for startup torque. This is the hardest point. Not running speed. We also use wear-resistant impeller materials. They last much longer in abrasive slurry.

  • Cyanide and Acid Dosing

Cyanide doses at very low rates. Small errors matter a lot. Even a small drop in concentration reduces gold recovery. Acid dosing must follow actual flow. When flow changes, dose rate must change too. Fixed pumps cannot do this.

We use flow-proportional systems. Dose rate always matches process flow.

  • Tailings Agitation

Tailings are unpredictable. Solids loading changes every shift. Sometimes it is high. Sometimes it is low. Agitators must handle both. We size for the worst case. Not the average.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Can your agitators handle thick mining slurries?

Yes. We size for startup torque in settled slurry. Impeller materials resist abrasive wear.

Yes. Flow-proportional pumps with chemical-resistant parts. Dose rate follows actual process flow.

We size drives for worst-case solids loading. Agitators handle changing tailings composition without stalling.
